Colonization along the MEDITERRANEAN basin
- The Greeks built their societies under the influence of the Mesopotamians and Egyptians along with others.
- Greeks established colonies throughout the Mediterranean Basin and the along the Black Sea
- Greece was divided into city-states
- a wealthy society with many palaces called Crete ( it was an island.) Settlers were attracted to this area named Mycenae.
- During the chaos along the Mediterranean, cause by conflict with the Anatolian, palaces were ruined in the island, population decreased quickly and their writing disapeared too.

- As merchants traveled along the basin they came to face with many different religions
- The city Alexandria was filled with many different religions due to the city being a major port in the Mediterranean Basin
- Soon commonly used languages had spread to India
- Art and Sculpture had also extended to distant cultures
- Greeks combined pieces of other religions into their own cultural tradition
- Greek Cultural figures, like Aristotle, spread influence of art, literature, and moral throughout the Basin and western Europe
- Greeks thought of earthly elements as their gods
- Frequent traveling of the Greeks spread religion beyond the Mediterranean Basin
